lighting that looks like flowers or even trumpets
Posted on August 31, 2011 at 02:48:05

lighting is something that i've always been very interested in. lighting fixtures are often very unique and one such fixture is unique is this lamp that looks like flowers. i think it's really remarkable and it has a really natural feeling to it too. if it doesn't look like a bouquet of flowers to you, then maybe it reminds you of trumpets. i can image them trumpeting out beautiful light into a room in the evening.

a thin house that's out of this world
Posted on August 29, 2011 at 02:23:17

i've seen a lot of unique house designs in my day but this idea for a very thin home is out of this world! i never would have thought that it'd be possible to fit a full featured house into such a thin space but clearly i was wrong, it looks like it is possible.

the entire house is shaped like a triangle and has several levels. it doesn't actually sit on the ground but is instead supported by some legs. leading up to its bottom floor are some amazing retractable stairs that are remote controlled! when the stairs are retracted, they flatten out and form an even floor that leads to a great nook area where a bean bag chair could be placed for rest and relaxation. also on this first floor is a washroom and i think even a kitchenette.

a ladder on the wall leads up to a working and sleeping area on the second level. there's room for a bed and even a desk. above the bed there is a window looking out of the front of the house, and there's even a skylight window that will surely let in some sun light during the day. above this level there's another level that looks like it could maybe be used for the storage of clothing or books or other small items.

this is a very unique house. its shape is unique just because it is so thin. but even though it's so thin it still manages to be surprisingly livable and it has many of the amenities that would be expected from an apartment or a house that's much much larger. i can't wait to see it actually be built!

it's a juicer with flow and curves
Posted on August 26, 2011 at 02:04:36

kitchen utensils are something that i'm very interested in. as somebody who does a lot of cooking and food preparation, i think it's important to find kitchen utensils that work well, but i also think that it's important that they look good and don't clash with the decor of my kitchen. that's why i really like this juicer that has curves and practicality. it has got a simple design but it's also shapely and unique. it looks like it works very well for catching the freshly squeezed juice and also makes it easy to pour into a tall glass for a fruity and healthy drink. this makes it just the kind of kitchen tool i would consider buying for my kitchen. it's easy on the eyes and does its job well i think!

look at these fantastic stacking drawers
Posted on August 25, 2011 at 23:13:29

some people like to hang their clothes in a closet and some people prefer a wardrobe but other people prefer to use a dresser. most of the time dressers are large pieces of furniture that are big and solid and not always flexible. you don't have much control over the number of drawers or how they're shaped or now they're arranged. the dresser comes like it is and you have to accept it like it is. well today i learned that that's no longer the case! if you want to store your clothes in a dresser but if you also want a lot of flexibility, then maybe you should consider some of these stackable drawers.

i think they're a totally great idea. they just give so so much flexibility! if you want different color drawers, you can have that! if you want them to be all the same color, you can have that, too! if you want one drawer on each level, you can have that. if you want two drawers on each level, you can also have that. if you want a mix, then you can even have that. there are just so many different possibilities! if you wanted, you could even stack them from the floor to the ceiling or arrange them so that their drawers are facing in different directions. you could put it in the middle of the room and access the drawers on all sides! they are just so flexible.

some pictures of a very rustic scandinavian summer house
Posted on August 23, 2011 at 23:40:28

i've always been very intrigued by scandinavian architecture. well today i was very pleasantly surprised to see some pictures of a scandinavian summer house! although it's similar many of the cabins or cottages we see in america, it's still a very rustic summer house and it is unique in its own ways.

when you stay in a rustic summer house like this, it's like you're living in a different world almost! people who are used to living in suburban homes don't get the experiences that you get when you spend time in a summer house like in those pics. it's an even bigger change for those people living high in an apartment in a large city. but when you're there in an environment like that, with a great big lake and a dock and a deck and a house built using a vintage style of construction, it's really a great place to be.
