these weaved lamps have a great texture

Posted on December 22, 2011 at 01:42:43

just look at these amazing weaved lamps. i think that they have such a great texture. they remind me of weaved baskets made of reeds but they are lamps instead.

the weaving gives them a rippled pattern and this pattern is very pleasing on the eyes. this also makes them very relaxing and pleasant to look at. personally i think that these lamps are real winners.

this is such a festive dining room holiday decorating job

Posted on December 17, 2011 at 23:59:50

i always like to see how other people decide to decorate their houses for the holidays and one of the best decorating jobs i've seen yet this year is this great dining room holiday decorating job.

everything about this decorating scheme is so festive! i really like the pine cones that are in the centerpiece on the table. then there's the big pine cone in the china cabinet between the partridge figurines. they add a really great touch to this dining room setting. i don't know about you but those pine cones make me think of christmas trees and when i think about christmas trees i think about the holiday season and the spirit of giving!

then there are the birch wrapped candles. they sure do add a very rustic touch to this decorating job. candles are such an important part of a large holiday dinner with family that it's so important to make sure that they look great. and in this case they sure do look great!

i'm very happy to have seen this holiday decorating style. it's so unique and special and rustic and also so festive. even just looking at the pictures of it really puts me in the christmas spirit!

a bathroom sink with curves and flows

Posted on December 17, 2011 at 23:52:37

bathroom sinks are a very important part of all modern bathrooms. because they are so important it's necessary to get a sink that looks great and is very stylish. a good example of a stylish sink is this sink with curves and flows.

that's a really great sink. it has some great curves all over it. the basin has such a unique shape with unique contours and then the pedestal has more great curves and finally the base has some great curves too. they come together to make a sink that looks like it's a flowing liquid almost. this is really one of the most unique sinks that i've seen in a long time.

i need to share some tables with you

Posted on December 09, 2011 at 23:51:54

i've learned about some great tables recently and i want to share them with you. the first ones i saw were these three modern tables. each one of them is very special and very unique. i particularly like the table where the legs are made of several rods each. i think that this gives the legs a very special look and the effect that the legs make when you look through them from the side of the table is really something. they overlap and they mesh and it's a great look.

the other table i want to talk about is this table that has a very unique base. it's like the base is a bunch of rings that are stacked on one another and it has a very unique look. it makes the table look like an anti-gravity table i think! it's like the rings are almost floating on top of one another and then the table is floating on top of that. when i look at this table i get a very relaxing sensation.

there you have it. those are some tables that i enjoyed looking at and i hope that you'll enjoy looking at them as much as i enjoyed looking at them!

it's a traditional house plan with traditional values

Posted on December 09, 2011 at 23:21:24

traditional houses were built to be efficient and strong because back in those days people didn't always have a lot of material to waste and they needed houses that would be durable. that's why even today we see old traditional farm houses that are over 100 years old. this traditional house's plans remind me of houses like that.

at the front of this traditional house there's a small porch that leads to the main entrance. in this main entrance area there's also a closet to the side and some area to put shoes and boots and coats. another door connects this entrance with the rest of the house.

this is actually a very open house on the inside. about half of the main floor is free from obstruction. at the front of the house there's a living room area and at the back there's a dining area. since they blend in with one another they give a lot of flexibility for how to lay out the furniture. there could be a small dining room table that leaves lots of room for the living room or there could be a large dining room table that doesn't leave as much living room room. the choice is yours!

in the back corner next to the dining area there's the kitchen. it is shaped like the letter c and it has ample counter space and ample cupboards too. there is even some bar seating between it and the dining area! this is an efficient kitchen layout that will make home chefs very happy. there is a lot of counter space so preparing meals becomes a lot more convenient and there's even a pantry area near the kitchen entrance too!

going back toward the front entrance from the kitchen we find the stairs along one side of the house and between the stairs and the entrance room we find a washroom with a toilet and a sink and it also looks like it has space for a laundry room too. but back to the stairs! there are stairs leading up and there are stairs leading down. there is a landing part way down the stairs leading down and it looks like there's a side door leading to the outside at this point. there are also stairs going up that wrap around above the stairs going down. these stairs lead to the upper level.

the upper level has a traditional layout where it is basically broken up into quadrants. but this house plan makes sure that some of the walls have good angles which makes it a little bit less traditional but it also makes it a lot more interesting and visually appealing. at the top of the stairs there isn't much of a hallway but it's more of a landing that connects to all of the rooms. there is a linen closet accessible from this area.

at the back of the house there are two bedrooms. one of the bedrooms has a rectangular closet between it and the other bedroom. the other bedroom is slightly smaller and it has a closet with a unique shape. it goes to a blunt point at one end. it also has an angled wall by its door and i think that this angled wall really gives it some character.

at the front of the house we find what i'm going to call the master bedroom. it is square shaped and it is the largest of the three bedrooms. it has a spacious walk in closet that also has a unique shape. it sort of curves around slightly because it also has a angled wall. it looks like this closet does have much space for storage of clothes and shoes and other accessories.

also at the front of the house beside the master bedroom we find the bathroom. it's a large and open bathroom. there's a large tub in one corner at the front of the house and in one of the other corners there is a shower. between the tub and the shower there is a toilet. across from the toilet there is a sink and a counter. in the middle it is wide open though. this is a very good thing to have in this kind of a bathroom because it makes it feel less like a bathroom and more like just another room in the house. this is useful for when you're relaxing in the tub. you don't want it to feel like it's a small room!

so this house is traditional in many ways. it has lots of traditional values. but that doesn't mean it can't be modern too! like we've seen it has modern amenities that i think would make it a great house to live in. there is lots of living and dining space and there are good bedrooms and a great bathroom on the upper floor. it's a real winner i think.
