Lighting is always one of my favorite blog topics. Lighting is just so important! Lighting is the kind of thing that can make or break almost any room in a house. If you have the wrong lights then your room won't be bright enough or it maybe will be too bright and it just won't have the right balance. If you get lamps that don't look right then the room won't be an enjoyable room to be in. Well I've seen some pictures of lights and lamps recently that I think look absolutely great and because I like them so much I want to share them with you!

The first lamps I want to tell you about are these rounded ceramic lamps. I like everything about them from how they hang from the ceiling to their shape to their colors to their textures! Just everything about these lamps looks so great! The curved shape of these lamps is very relaxing I think.

There were some other lights that I saw recently and I thought that they were so very modern! Those lights are these lights. I think that's a great idea! It looks like it's very functional but it also has a unique look and so much potential. The wave shape that the lights make feels so modern and high tech and space age and the pattern it forms looks absolutely great! I think those lights would work great above a bed like how they're shown in those pictures. Those lights really exhibit a great design sense.

But just because I liked those last lights because they look so modern and complex it doesn't mean that all lamps have to be high tech lamps! I also saw pictures of this more basic light that hangs from a bracket. It's a simple design but I think that it looks great too! The feeling this light gives me is one of calm. It's like the light is relaxing while it dangles freely from the bracket. It some ways it reminds me of fishing! The light is like the hook and the lure and the bracket is like the fishing pole and together they make for a very relaxing past time!

The best lamp that I've seen lately though is this lamp that has a lamp shade made of alpaca hair! Yes that's right! It's a lamp that is furry! If you haven't seen the pictures of it yet then I think you surely should look at them! It's a very very very unique lamp that's for sure! It looks so natural too. I've seen a lot of lighting fixtures in my day but I don't think I've ever seen one with that much thick luscious fur on it! It's a grand lamp for sure and I think it would start many many conversations in any room that had one!

Well there you have it. Those are some lamps that I saw recently that I thought were extra special. The one with the lamp shade covered in alpaca hair really stands out in my mind. I think that I'll be thinking about that lamp for weeks but I'll probably think about those other lamps and lighting fixtures that I mentioned above because they're pretty great too.

Some people consider small houses to be large cottages and sometimes some people consider large cottages to be small houses. Now I don't really know where to draw the line but I've been looking at the floor plans that could either be a large cottage or a small house.

At the front of this small house or large cottage there is an entry area. It opens into the living room. I like the design of this living room because it has some very great aspects to it. Like the first is the fireplace. For a smaller house or a larger cottage it looks like a grand fireplace. And the living room also has a vaulted ceiling over half of it. I think this is such a great design!

On the other side of the small house or the large cottage across from the fireplace there's the kitchen. It's a great kitchen. For a smaller house or a large cottage it's a really great kitchen. It looks like it has lots of counter space and there are two windows near the sink because it's in a corner of the room. This is a good design because you can look outside when you're doing chores like washing the dishes or when you're washing vegetables in the sink.

The dining room is located at the front of the house next to the kitchen and it connects to the kitchen and to near the front entry of the house. This is a great design because it means that the living room is connected to both the kitchen and the dining room and the kitchen is connected to the dining room and the living room and the dining room is connected to the kitchen and the living room. This makes it very easy to move around to the different rooms on the main floor.

Going back into the living room we can move through to the back of the house where we find a short hallway. There is a closet here and it looks like this is where the washing machine and maybe the clothes dryer could go. Across from this closet there is a bathroom. It has a sink and a toilet and a tub.

At the end of this short hallway we find the entrance to the master bedroom. The master bedroom is thus located at the back of the house. In this master bedroom we find two separate closets. This is a convenient design because if there's a married couple living in the house and sharing the master bedroom then there's a closet for each person! They can organize it however they like! The bedroom itself is open and has some windows. I think this is a convenient location for it because it's so close to the bathroom and to the rest of the house or the cottage but the small hallway does give some privacy.

One really great feature of this floor plan that I haven't mentioned yet is the great spiral staircase that's found in the area where the kitchen and the dining room and the living room meet. This staircase leads up to the second floor where we find a studio room and another bathroom! This second floor has a lot of potential. I think it would make a great library or a great craft room or a great office or even a great study room. It has a vaulted ceiling and the bathroom it attaches to is great. It has a shower and a sink and a toilet! That means that this studio room could probably even be used as a bedroom or a guest room if necessary!

This building could be either a great large cottage or a great small house. It's not big but it has a lot of amenities and I think it'd be a very very comfortable vacation cottage but at the same time I think it'd also be a very very comfortable small house maybe for an elderly couple or for a young couple who haven't started a family yet. I think this is a large cottage or a small house with so much potential!

Those of us who remember the decades past really well will remember how important neon lights were! Like in most down town areas there were lots of businesses and they would have fantastic neon signs that you could see from so far away! They would really draw your attention! But then other businesses would try to make their neon lights bigger and brighter and soon everybody kept getting bigger and bigger and brighter and brighter neon signs and it was just so amazing! Las Vegas in Nevada is one of my favorite cities because of all of its lights!

So I'm very very happy to see that neon lights are still in style today! These 3D neon lamps are very great to look at. I think the different shapes that it looks like when you look at it from different directions is really great. And the neon color is a really great neon color too! These lamps look like they are really top notch and judging by those pictures I think they would give any dark room a really great ambience and neon feeling!

Chairs are always one of my favorite topics to write about so I want to tell you about some great chairs that I have seen pictures of recently. There are three chairs in total and they are all very unique and very special in their own way and I hope that you have as much fun looking at them as I did!

The first chair is one that I think looks just so natural! It has legs that are made of tree branches and the chair part is made of strips of wood that are connected in so many different ways! It does look like a bird nest! The branches though they just make it feel so natural. When I see branches like that the first thing I think of is the forest and the nature in the forest. Just everything about this chair is so natural!

The second chair is one that is almost totally the opposite! It is this grand aluminum chair that looks extremely modern. It is made from one piece of aluminum so there aren't even any joints! That is part of why I think it is so futuristic and everything about it reminds me of the most modern of modern high technology. The shiny metallic color that some come in also seems so modern to me! While the other chair we looked at was made of wood and even branches to make it even more natural this chair makes me think of high tech industries.

The last chair that I saw recently that I really liked is this one. I don't know how to describe it but I think it has some great proportions and some great sharp angles too! The metal frame looks great and I like the imbalance between the seat and the back rest. The seat is clearly a lot larger and I think this would make it comfortable but it would also make me feel a lot safer. This does not look like the kind of chair that would tip over easily. It looks very sturdy and very robust. But it also looks very comfortable too! This is a very important balance to have because it's possible to have a chair that's very robust but it does not feel comfortable at all! Nobody wants to sit on an uncomfortable chair! But even just the shiny metallic frame looks so modern and elegant. This chair is truly a winner I think.

Well those are the three chairs I saw recently that I really liked to look at. I hope that they have been as fun for you to look at as they have been very fun for me to look at! I always like looking at good chairs and those are some of the best chairs that I have seen lately!

I'm always surprised by how people can take one piece of furniture and with some paint and other changes they can transform it into a piece of furniture that looks totally new and totally different! It's such a great thing to see! Like just take this amazing wooden bookcase transformation!

It is a wooden bookcase that started out as having a very woody look but then the new owner put on some great white paint and this totally transformed his woody bookcase into a white bookcase that is still the same bookcase but it has a totally new look and a totally new feeling! Then some new door knobs were put on the doors and they are very good looking painted porcelain knobs that really add to the uniqueness of this bookcase.

This bookcase paint job and knob job transformation is a real winner! It just looks so so good after the new paint job and the new door knobs! What a great job! What a great result!
