It was just earlier today that I wrote about some great lamps made from old fire extinguishers that I'd seen a pic of earlier. Now I've seen more great lamps that make really great examples of reusing something else to create a great looking lamp.

While the other lamps were made from empty fire extinguishers these lamps are made from old washing machine drums! The drums like become the lamp shades and then they're decorated with other material and the end result is just superb in my opinion!

Just look at all of the different varieties and options and all of the many many different possibilities! I especially like the one that uses the fake turf grass material because it has a natural look but at the same time it also looks artificial. It's a blending of the real and fake and the end result in my opinion is one great looking lamp!

Another one of the designs that I really like is the one with the yellow measuring tape wrapped around it. From a distance I think it'd just look like a normal yellow lamp shade but when you get close you'd see the markings on the measuring tape and it'd become obvious that it was in fact a very unique lamp shade that looks really amazing!

I'm always impressed with lamps and lamps that are made out of reused items like washing machine drums and measuring tape and fake grass and even corks can really make my day!

Just look at the amazing pattern on this table! I think that that's a really great design. The pattern in the middle of the table is so vivid and mesmerizing that I just can't stop looking at it!

From looking at that picture it looks like the pattern you see could even change a lot depending on what angle and direction you're looking from. I always find lattice patterns like that to look so great because they come together so well and give so many difference visuals. I'm really impressed with the great look of this table! It's very eye catching and once it has caught your eye it keeps your eye because the pattern is so unique and interesting to look at.

Lighting is always one of my favorite topics to blog about and so I was very very happy when I saw these lamps made of old fire extinguishers. This is a great idea for a lamp! The shapes are really great looking too.

The part I like most though is that these lamps promote reuse. I really like seeing one item turned into another item when it's no longer useful as the first time. Like in this case the fire extinguisher is empty and maybe it can't be refilled for some reason but that doesn't mean it should be useless! Turning it into a great looking lamp like those ones is a great idea and a great example of reuse. I'm really impressed by the design of these lamps!

Never underestimate how much difference a good looking clock or a good looking lamp can make in a room. All it takes is one clock or one lamp and a room that was previously very boring can almost instantly be turned into a room that's vibrant and exciting to be in.

I think that clocks like these are the kind of clocks that can really change how a room feels. Look at all the different designs that are possible! I think that clocks like these just have so much potential in so many ways! I especially like the yellow one shown in the middle of the top photo. It makes me think of bees and honeycombs which makes me think of honey and honey is a very sweet and tasty substance. It's the kind of clock that I'd notice right away if I walked into the room where it was hanging and I think it'd make the room feel much more interesting to be in!

Like I said earlier it's also possible for a lamp to completely change how a room looks and feels. I think that this lamp is a great example of a lamp that can really have a huge impact on a room. It's a simple lamp but I think it has a lot of meaning to it. Sometimes it looks like a tree to me. But as I looked at the pictures more it then looked like a hand. And then I looked at the pictures more and it looked like a tree again! Finally as I looked at it even longer it started to remind me of a glorious water fountain. Although it's a lamp that looks simple I think it just has such a great shape and this great shape means that it can really change how a room looks and feels.

Well there you have it. Those are some clocks and a lamp I saw recently that I thought really could make a difference in a room. Both the clocks and that lamp caught my eye the first time I saw pictures of them and they both made me think very deeply about their shapes. I am impressed by all of them!

Furniture is always one of my favorite topics. Good looking furniture can make almost any area of a house look great whether it's indoor or outdoors too! I recently saw some chairs and sofas that I think look modern but at the same time they also feel very vintage. I think that they're the kind of high impact furniture that can really do great things for a room or a patio.

When I first saw them the first thing I thought of are those vintage wood log fort walls that you can see in some places. Those chairs and sofas look sort of like those walls so that's why I think those chairs and sofas can be considered vintage. But those chairs and sofas also have a modern feeling I think. It's like they're a vintage concept but with a modern build and this is what I think makes them vintage and modern at the same time. They are a mix of time periods and I think the results are great! Those chairs really have spirit to them I think.
